Random Disconnects from the Internet
This isn't really Guild Wars related, though it does mess up my playing, but I'm hoping someone will be able to help.
Every few days for so my internet will constantly disconnect every 30 seconds or so making it impossible to play Guild Wars. When it disconnects a message pops up saying: "A network cable is unplugged", but when I check the cables they're all still firmly connected. I've tried rearranging the cables, unplugging some from my Router, and everything else I can think of but nothing works. I've even replaced one of the cords. Can anyone help me with this problem? It would be greatly appreciated. |

Seems like a common problem if you do a clusty search although the varying suggestions are numerous. Have a look here, normally quite a reliable site http://www.annoyances.org/exec/forum/winxp/n1046542322
Someone's solution (after trying everything else) was to buy a new NIC...perhaps yours is failing. Maybe borrow one from a friend and see if that solves the prob. |
